A simple case of synchronicity

Ever since I’ve been in creative recovery, I started taking notice of the things that can be classed as synchronicities in my life.

Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events as meaningfully related, whereas they are unlikely to be causally related. The subject sees it as a meaningful coincidence, although the events need not be exactly simultaneous in time. The concept of synchronicity was first described by Carl Gustav Jung, in the 1920s (source: Wikipedia).

A couple of weeks ago I posted this picture on Facebook. I thought the quote I found in ’The Artist’s Way’ to be meaningful to me and I decided to share it with my friends.

A couple of days ago I shook hands with Mike Phillips at the Romanian Film Festival reception. I was quickly introduced to him by the amazing organizer of the event but in the heat of the moment I didn’t quite process who I was being introduced to. I had also fogotten about the quote that I found so meaningful two weeks before. But a bit of browsing on Facebook a day later and I finally clicked.

I believe that my meeting with Mike had some kind of meaning. Perhaps it was a sign telling me that money were waiting for me, I just needed to be doing the right thing!…
